At Technovole, we are thrilled to announce that our CEO and Founder, Bilton Mweru, has been selected as a fellow for the 2024 Pan-African Youth Ambassadors for Internet Governance (PAYAIG) under the English Cohort!

This fellowship represents a prestigious opportunity to engage in high-level discussions on internet governance, digital rights, and the policies shaping Africa’s digital landscape. As an organization dedicated to using technology to solve community and organizational challenges, this aligns perfectly with our mission to foster digital transformation across sectors.

What This Means for Technovole
With Bilton’s selection, Technovole is positioned to further our commitment to empowering youth, businesses, and communities through technology. This fellowship will allow our CEO to:

  • Gain deeper insights into internet governance and its implications for innovation and digital rights in Africa.
  • Advocate for policies that support youth inclusion in Africa’s digital economy.
  • Share lessons learned with the Technovole team to ensure we stay ahead of trends and challenges in the digital sphere.

A Broader Vision for Africa’s Digital Future
At Technovole, we believe that access to equitable, quality digital infrastructure is essential to driving progress. This fellowship will enhance our capacity to push forward innovative solutions that support Africa’s digital economy. The knowledge gained through PAYAIG will directly inform our ongoing projects, such as Snap Scholar and Technovole Cloud —all of which aim to improve access to quality and inclusive education in refugee settlements and other underserved communities in Africa, business operations, and more through technology.

A Word from Our CEO
“I am honored to represent communities and African youth in this important initiative. The internet is the backbone of modern innovation, and it’s crucial that we, as young Africans, have a say in how it evolves. I’m excited to bring new insights back to the team and continue building solutions that address Africa’s digital challenges.”
